As we discussed at the conference and as Harsha has stated above, it really is a matter of basic humanity and giving back to the community. Our religion is not a big enough barrier to keep us from coming together and supporting an unfairly targeted community. The Sikh community deserves as much respect as any other religious community, like Hindu, Jain, or Christian deserves. They have been unfairly targeted ever since 9/11 and its about time this malicious targeting be stopped. It is unnecessary and unfair to take innocent lives of people because of who they are or what they believe in.
